Just back from Paris and yes finally the first drop of Henrik Vibskov Men and Women SS11 has arrived the Copenhagen Boutique.
The Henrik Vibskov SS11 collection is set in a universe dominated by a dramatic yet unknown occurrence that has just taken place - a postapocalyptic atmosphere. The shapes of microorganisms, lifeboats, mushrooms, minerals, sea-life, genitals etc. have been the inspiration behind the graphics and silhouette of this collection. The general vibe is dark, but with a built-in optimism that lies in the micro-organic life and the efforts to re-establish what has been broken.
Patterns, both in print and knit are all smaller and more texture based compared to previous collections. All relating to the overall microorganism theme.
We have played with the construction of the patterns, leaving the draped technique for a two-dimensional pattern cutting based construction.

For me it's interesting to watch such outfits on the catwalk but in real life I prefer something more classical and usual. I couldn't imagine myself searching for someone who can write my essay wearing such headwear. Guess I will look a little bit strange.
