HENRIK VIBSKOV AND ANDREAS EMENIUS AT THE GWANGJU BIENNALE

Henrik Vibskov & Andreas Emenius are showing 'The Circular Series, Section 5' at the Gwangju Biennale, curated by Ai WeiWei and Seung H-Sang. The Gwangju Biennale, which started in September 1995 in the city of Gwangju in South Korea was Asia's first contemporary art biennale. The purpose of Gwangju Biennale is globalization of art and it respect diversity rather than uniformity Its open from sept 2 until 23 october.

OPENING: ANDREAS EMENIUS - PULL ME APART, TEAR ME BACK TOGETHER

Our friend Andreas Emenius is showing his second solo-exihibition this Friday at WAS-Wonderland Art Space.

With the exihibition Pull Me Apart, Tear Me Back Together Andreas Emenius explores mankind’s longing for simplicity and subsequent attempt to make order out of chaos.

Andreas Emenius takes an interest in the mental stage between human destruction and reconstruction. Through paintings and drawings, Emenius visualizes a skeptical approach to our definition of existence. Focusing on a obsessive-compulsive behavior, based on the idea that everything can be organized, categorized and made comprehensible through systems, 'Pull Me Apart, Tear Me Back Together' illuminates moments of silent madness in everyday life.

Exhibition Opening: Friday March 4, 5-10 pm

In 2007 Henrik Vibskov and Andreas Emenius began working on The Fringe Projects. A series of ten projects that have unfolded in magazines, museums, a restaurant and reality, fleeting from Copenhagen to Zürich, Milan, Paris, Rotterdam, Tokyo and the Zeeuws Museum in Middelburg.
