THE STUDIO JOURNAL: LAST HOURS BEFORE THE HOT SPRAY ESCAPE SHOW - STUDIO FINGERS GO CRAZY
Copenhagen Fashion Week is blooming and booming right now, all and everything is conquering the streets - Vibskov is in the studio.
Today, 5th of August, he will launch with the usual double -trouble-beyond-dadaism performance show. The baby's called the Hot Spray Escape and bears the SS16 collection. Taking place at Radhudspladsen at 9pm! Only by invitation, but come by to watch all the fancy people standing around and getting in.
Raised fist for Team Vibs: Sew, Build, Smoke, Sew, Build, Smoke, Coffee Coffee, 3h left to the show!

NEW ARRIVALS: HENRIK VIBSKOV SS15 - THE STICKY BRICK FINGERS
Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of The Sticky Brick Fingers, Henrik Vibskov’s Spring
Summer 2015 collection. Stirred up by visions of rotating cement mixers, construction sites, bricks,
swimming pools and water sports, Vibskov’s latest macrocosm is a whirlpool of outlandish invention.

swimming pools and water sports, Vibskov’s latest macrocosm is a whirlpool of outlandish invention.
In collaboration with the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet and choreographer Alexander Ekman,
and as an extension of their recent production of Swan Lake at Oslo Opera House, a 150 m2 shallow pool has been constructed and filled with 4000 litres of water, inside which 10 dancers from the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet elegantly splish and splash their way through a routine devised by renowned Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman. An internationally acclaimed name in the world of dance, Ekman is recognised and sought-after for his unique ability to pair wit and playfulness. The brand new music with references to Tchaikovsky's original Swan Lake score, is written by New York based Swedish composer Mikael Karlsson, known for his collaboration with Swedish pop artist Lykke Li as well as Nederlands Dance Theater and the Royal Swedish Ballet.

Models adorned with monk-like headpieces and specially made tight fitting neoprene water shoes tread the catwalk, and show a collection that is balanced perfectly between eccentric innovation and wearability.
Silhouettes are round and curved, and divided circles come together to create relaxed summer looks.
Upper bodies are long and stretched, shorts are classically Vibskov and low-crotched, and trousers are short. Strong orange, white and mint stand out amongst more subtle dark blues and curry shades.

Gaultier’s unique artistic vision and Eastpak’s
uncompromising passion for functionality, capturing
the spirit, heritage, values and identity of both brands.
Jean Paul Gaultier says:
“I think the condom is the greatest piece of clothing
ever invented and my message to everyone is
“Protect yourself!”. I have been involved in the fight
against AIDS for many years now and will continue to
do so for as long as I am needed.”

At Copenhagen Fashion Week SS15,
Sleek got a sneak peek into the studios of a few of our favourite
designers working in the Danish capital. Check back later this week for
more.
Henrik Vibskov made waves at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year
when he presented his SS15 collection alongside a performance by dancers
from the Norwegian National Ballet.
Gliding through a shallow pool adorned in black dancewear, the
dancers performed an outtake from “Swan Lake”, a performance of which
Vibskov previously did costume design for, as played by the Norwegian
National Ballet. The set, said Vibskov, was very simple, but the
movements of the dancers in the water was so inspiring, he had to bring
the dancers and their pool to Paris for his showcase there.
The performance proved the perfect complement to a collection Vibskov
claims was largely inspired by “weird things happening in water.”
“We normally try to work with four or five completely different subjects and wait to see how they all tie together.”
For the SS15 collection, one of those subjects was water. The other? Concrete and bricks.
“Maybe one of the biggest visions for mankind is how we want to be
remembered. And that’s a big part of building,” said the once interior
designer.
